Jamaican Saltfish Fritters|| How to make Saltfish Fritters|| Jerene's Eats|

Hey foodies when I’m cooking for family I often just eyeball instead of measuring. However, I have developed and tested a recipe for you guys to use. The details can be found below. Please remember that if you want a thicker fritter use less water and pour a heaped spoonful into the pan. If you want a thinner fritter use less flour and use the spoon SPREAD out the batter once you drop it in the pan. ENJOY!!


INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb salted codfish
1 onion, diced finely
Some sweet peppers, diced finely
3 stalks scallion, sliced
1 tsp black pepper
1 3/4 cup Water(more or less)
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (more or less)
1/2 tsp baking powder
Canola oil
2 garlic cloves, sliced
1/2 tsp diced scotch bonnet pepper

Other optional additions:
Annatto
Curry Powder
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Garlic
Minced thyme
Green seasoning
Tomato
