Jamaican Style Oxtail Stew | [Voice-Over] How to cook Oxtails

The Best Oxtail Stew Recipe. Hey guys here’s a delicious recipe on how to cook oxtails. This Jamaican style Oxtail recipe is the perfect dinner idea.

Oxtail Ingredients:
2 Tbs Olive oil
1.5 Tbs Kitchen Bouquet Browning sauce
1/2 tsp McCormick All purpose seasoning
1 tsp Oxtail seasoning
4 cups low sodium chicken broth or Water
3 to 4Ibs Oxtail
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 red bell pepper
1 can butter beans
1/2 onion
3 stalks green onion (chopped)
1Tbs garlic (3cloves)
2 Carrots (Chopped)
1/2 can tomatoes
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
2Tbs Soy sauce
1Tbs Tomato paste

Make adjustments on measurements as needed or to your desired preference.

1). Clean and prep your oxtail meat.
2). Add your dry seasoning, then your wet seasoning/ingredients, and veggies.
3). Mix everything together and allow your oxtails to marinate overnight.
4). In a pot on medium high heat, add some olive oil.
5). Once the oil is hot, add your oxtails and brown on each side.
6). Add your veggies and chicken broth to the pot. You can use beef broth or water instead of chicken broth.
7). Add a can of diced tomatoes and fresh or dried thyme.
8). Cover your pot and allow your oxtails to cook for 3 to 4 hours on medium low heat or until oxtails are tender.
9). Once the oxtails are tender, add your carrots and butter beans. Cook for an additional 20 to 30 minutes.
10). Your oxtails, beans, and carrots should all be done and tender.
11). Serve with white/ yellow rice, rice and peas, or cabbage. Enjoy!
